Several species of invasive plants are found on the Treasure Coast. UF/IFAS Extension St. Lucie County Natural Resources Agent Ken Gioeli will teach participants about some of the common invasive plants found in our area. Plants such as Australian pines, Brazilian peppertree, old world climbing fern are here and causing harm to the environment. Ken will teach fairgoers about tools to aid in the management including the UF/IFAS Assessment of Non-native Plants, UF/IFAS EDIS, EddMaps, and other resources.
