Citrus, Fruits, and Vegetables

Divisions:

Division 1- Pee Wee (under 8 years old)

Division 2- Youth Junior (8 to 12 years old)

Division 3- Youth Senior (13 to 18 years old) must be in k-12 school

Division 4- Adult (age 19 and up)

Division 5- Commercial

Division 6- Clubs

 

General Rules:

The St. Lucie County Fair Association, Inc. will take every precaution to protect exhibits, however, its officers or agents cannot be responsible for accident, loss, or damage.  The Fair Association reserves the right to display or not display an item.

 

Entries:

  • Entries will be accepted at the St Lucie County Fairgrounds, in the Home Arts Building on Thursday, February 21, 2019, from 9 am to 5 pm.  All entries will be registered at this time, to expedite the process please print and fill out the appropriate entry form below. 
  • All entries must be ripe and disease free.
  • There are no entry fees. 
  • Non-commercial entries may be washed but not waxed, oiled, or polished with an additive.
  • Entries may be removed at the discretion of fair management (if overripe, have bugs, etc)
  • The number of entries per class or per person may be limited if there is not enough space available.
  • Claim tickets must accompany all pickups

Judging:

  • Qualified judges will be selected by committees and fair staff.  The decisions of the judges will be final.  All protests must be made in writing.
  • Commercial entries will be judged separately.

  3. Citrus

Horticulture

  • Entries must be picked up Monday, March 4, 2019, from 9 am to 6 pm.
  • All plants and flowers must be cleaned, trimmed, and free from scale and other diseases.
  • All plants must be in proper containers and pots must be clean.
  • Mulch and exhibit shelves will be provided.
  • The display will be set up by the display chairperson
  • There are no entry fees. 
  • Entries may be removed at the discretion of fair management.
  • The number of entries per class or per person may be limited if there is not enough space available.
  • If a specimen is of unusual size or the container is larger than a 5-gallon pot, arrangements must be made with the fair office by calling (772) 464-2910.
